Who are The Birne Collective?

We are a group of fishermen brought together by coincidence and a common interest in fishing.

It all started in october 2007 when Kristian Løkke had an idea to go fishing.

He managed to organise a place to stay in Vig on Sjælland.

9 of us has a wonderful weekend with some amazing fishing and wonderful bonding. That weekend, the legend of the Birne was born.

Stepping up...

It was quickly decided to repeat the success and since then, The Collective has grown in numbers and visited many places both in Denmark and Sweden.

We now have the second version of Itchyshrimp.dk/birne.dk and have adopted the sub-title The Birne Collective.

Focus has expanded from fishing for sea trout, to trying for plaice, garfish, rainbow trout, brown trout and nursing a healthy interest in Birne.

The Members...

The Collective now counts 14 regular members and we average 9 people on each trip.
